Historical Old Belize
Old Belize is a re-creation of Belize as it once was. Inside Old Belize you will find giant tropical trees in an ancient rainforest, Mayan temples, an old estate-tyoe sugar mill, Chiceleors taping Chicle trees, an old sawmill, a traditional Garifuna home, and a recreation of colonial Belize Town, the predecessor to Belize City.
Belize is the only country in Central America whose first language is English. But speaking English is far from what makes Belize culturally and historically fascinating and different. Belize is an inter-racial society that includes six major ethnic groups who among them speak 8 languages.
